Schairer graduated from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Schairer is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine for Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida, and serves as the quality liaison for the division of nephrology of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. He is the medical director of the Fresenius Medical Care Allentown dialysis clinic. He is a FAA-designated aviation medical examiner and welcomes pilots in need of first, second, and third-class medical certification. Schairer joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2003 and is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
