Valley Kidney Specialists currently directs the Lehigh Valley Health Network Nephrology Fellowship Program. The Nephrology Fellowship Program received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in September 2011. Sharon E. Maynard, M.D. is the Program Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program at Lehigh Valley Health Network she has been with Valley Kidney Specialists since 2011. The program helps fellows gain experience in nephrology from our highly touted Board Certified Nephrologists.

For nearly two decades, Renal Physicians Association has recognized and thanked members of RPA for their many accomplishments and outstanding contributions to the nephrology community. In 2015 Valley Kidney Specialists was the recipient of the Exemplary Practice Award for our robust CKD clinic, comprehensive patient care, diverse services, and community contributions, which included; hospital partnerships and collaboration, lunch and learn programs, vascular access center, transplant program, anemia injection clinic, kidney stone center, clinical research, and our renal fellowship program.
